Update on Sunshine Blueberry Variety

The Sunshine Blueberry variety has begun blooming in late December, which is unusual as blueberries typically bloom in spring. This early blooming suggests a thriving environment and potential for a bountiful harvest. The plants have adapted well to the climate, possibly extending the growing season. Early flowers could attract pollinators, enhancing fruit set later. Mild temperatures and adequate moisture have likely contributed to this growth. This period allows us to assess plant health and implement care strategies, such as frost protection, to prevent damage from late cold snaps. The early blooming is a promising sign for a fruitful season, emphasizing the importance of vigilant care and management for a successful harvest.
Pest Management Strategy
Last year, we faced challenges because of a problematic bug that wiped out our entire crop. This year, though, we are prepared with an organic clay-based spray to ward off any unwanted pests.
Looking Ahead
We are hopeful for a successful harvest this season due to these proactive measures.
